Qponist: Colgate Hum Toothbrush

I’ve become a bit of a couponer during the pandemic, so I wanted to start sharing the exact steps that I use to purchase things that I want at a discount (or for free).

Original Price: $76.20 (includes NY tax)

Couponing Price: $38.83 (includes NY tax), or free if you haven’t used Rakuten before*

Savings: 49%

How I Did It:

Step 1: The toothbrush is currently on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond, so go there first. Sign up for their email list to get that 20% off coupon, if you don’t already have one lying around! Run through the process of buying the toothbrush, so you find the final price with tax (Current price, including NY tax + 20% off coupon: $42.67)

Step 2: Download the Slide App on your phone, and use it to pre-pay $42.67 (or whatever the total is based on your area) onto the app first - you get an extra 1% when you pre-pay - then purchase a gift card on the app for the exact amount (Additional Savings: 5%)

Step 2b: I used Apple Pay using my Apple Card in the Slide App which saves another 2% (Additional Savings: 2%)

Step 3: Use Rakuten, when you use your gift card to purchase the toothbrush at Bed Bath and Beyond to save another 2% (Additional Savings: 2%)
