Sending Secret Messages

I joke to my friends that my New Year's resolution this year is to sext more (just kidding, Mom!). Ahem, but if it was, then privacy and security would be a big deal. That is why I would suggest using Signal. It's a messaging app, just like Whats App and Telegram, but apparently, it's trusted by NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden.

I learned about the app through my journalist friends and all my friends who work in politics. I haven't used it for anything "newsworthy," but it's nice to know that someone is not randomly taking a screenshot of my messages and sending to other people.

Pros: Most people already have it on their phone, and it's relatively easy to set up.

Cons: It shows you who has it downloaded on their phone :(
