Typing on a Phone
I must have stubby small hands because my typing sucks when I use the regular keyboard on my iPhone. Good thing Google created Gboard, an add-on keyboard, for iOS. I don't know why Apple's keyboard is terrible for me, but Gboard might change your life if you type the wrong things.
It has all the things you would expect from a great keyboard — GIFs, emojis, and Glide Typing — plus Google Search built in. It just saves me when I mistype and the autocorrect just works better. It also learns words that you type frequently which is nice because my iMessage lingo is unique (aka trashy).
Pros: Autocorrect works amazingly and has Glide Typing functionality
Cons: GIFs could be a bit better (I guess I just prefer like using Real Housewives GIFs).
A quick tip for those using a different keyboard, make it your default keyboard or you will constantly need to switch to your preferred keyboard:
- Enter 'Settings' on your device.
- Tap on 'General'
- Scroll down to 'Keyboard'
- Tap on 'Keyboards'
- Tap on 'Edit'
- Tap and drag your desired keyboard to the top of the list.
